Day 27 - Wed - 09/02/26 - At sea to Boston

You've probably heard the expression "taking a slow boat to China".  That's what today felt like.  We cruised in very calm waters all day just off the coast of Canada and the USA.  Actually this whole cruise has been smooth with at least one day traveling at what is termed "hull speed" or the fastest the ship will go which is about 22-24 mph.  The weather was clear and warm.  Many people reported seeing whales and dolphins, but I never saw any this day.

After our breakfast, we started our day  with an enrichment talk  about chocolate by Kez James.  It was pretty good and really improved when she passed out mini chocolate bars! After that Angela went to the cooking demonstration and our waiter, Albert, from the Japanese restaurant the other night delivered an impressive song as entertainment.  I went to the Lido and worked on my blog before engaging in a great conversation with some guests from Colorado talking about Alaska cruises.

We splurged on a lunch in the Makoto Ocean specialty restaurant and sat with Gordon & Yvonne.  The meal was really good with excellent service.

In the early afternoon Dr. Angel Colon delivered his final enrichment talk in Club Fusion on the history of Boston. It was really good.  After that talk, we had to pack as nobody was supposed to self disembark. Our luggage had to be outside the room by 6pm!  We'll see tomorrow if anyone breaks that rule.

After dinner which included a surprise dipped in chocolate dessert, our evening show was a terrific singer, Terron Brooks who was the voice of Simba in the Lion King.

Following that was a corny Sherlock Holmes mystery put on by the entertainment staff.  Some hard music trivia was intertwined with the story. There was then another music trivia session followed by the final night of karaoke.  The first singer chose a really profanity laden song that painful to listen to. Later a drunk couple tried to sing and that was painful too.  Following that karaoke session, we adjourned to our stateroom to get a little sleep before waking up in Boston tomorrow.
